🎨 How to color it

Color the rapper’s cap bright red with white MUSIC letters, the hoodie sunny yellow with blue stars, the microphone silver, and the boombox teal with gray speakers. Use chunky crayons or markers for the big hoodie, cap, curtains, and speaker circles, and don’t worry if little hands hop over the lines. Try making each speech-bubble music note a different candy color so the stage looks like the song is bouncing around him.

Every day after snack, Kiko set his little boombox on the curtain stage, tapped his cap twice, and rapped three silly lines into the warm, metal-smelling microphone. The wrinkled arrow sticker on his boombox was his “start here” mark, even though everyone else thought it was just old tape.

Until one day, the sticker peeled up with a squeak and pointed at the left speaker. Because of that, Kiko pressed his ear close and heard, “pop-pop-zip!” Because of THAT, he followed the sound to the curtain rope, where three music notes bounced out like hiccups. “Hey, get back in the song!” he laughed. Finally, Kiko pointed high, caught the notes in his chorus, and let the boombox boom. Next time you see the tiny arrows and floating notes, can you guess which one escaped first?
