A black-and-blue moth fluttered from behind a fern. “Shh,” it whispered. Pip followed it past scratchy bark and sticky vines that tugged at his tail. At last, in a quiet green pocket, one little sunfruit glowed like a lantern. Pip picked it, but inside were five shiny seeds, humming softly.
He hurried home with juice on his paws and planted the seeds around the sleeping branches. By moonrise, five sprouts curled up for everyone. Pip held the last bite and grinned. Next time you spot him in the leaves, can you keep the sunfruit secret too?
