🎨 How to color it

Try rosy pink petals, a sunny yellow center, lime green stems, and deep green for the two long curved leaves. Use chunky crayons to fill the big petal and leaf spaces, and let little hands stop before the tiny stamen dots if they want. For a handmade touch, color each stamen dot orange, like a ring of tiny beads around the flower’s middle.

Soft clay went pat-pat under Bix’s small hands. He wanted to make one round bead for the flower crown all by himself.

He rolled it, scooped it up, and stepped off his warm felt square. Oops—sticky fingers! Fluff from the craft table tickled his nose. “I can do one,” Bix whispered.

At the big bloom, he pressed his bead into the middle with a plop. It was bumpy. It was his. Then Bix padded back, hands dusty, heart warm. Can you find the little bead circle where Bix made one round bead all by himself?
