🎨 How to color it

Color the robot astronaut silver and sky blue, the tiny rocket cherry red, the ringed planets orange and lavender, and the comet golden yellow. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for the helmet, rocket body, and big planets, saving a sharpened pencil for the small stars and control-panel buttons. Try making the rocket flame fade from yellow to orange to red so it looks like it just whooshed past the robot’s glove.

At the asteroid dock, under ping-ping stars, Rix rubbed the flat little washer hidden in his glove. It was only a washer, but Captain Nella had tucked it there after his first repair. Now Rix wanted to launch the smallest rocket before the comet whistle blew.

The sky lever waited above him, tall and shiny. His knees clicked. His antenna buzzed. “Just one tap,” he whispered, because secrets work better when spoken softly. He floated close, pointed his glove, and pressed.

Whoosh! The rocket sprang nose-first toward the stars, brave as a spark. Ever since Rix’s first tap, rockets at that dock have always pointed up before they fly. If you spot the little rocket near his glove, keep the secret: it began with a washer and a whisper.
