🎨 How to color it

Color the sleepy kitten soft cream, the hammock stripes sunny yellow and coral, the palm trunks tan, and the big leaves bright green. Use chunky crayons for the wide hammock panels and broad leaves, and do not worry if little hands color past the thick lines. Add one secret blue stripe on the hammock, like a special piece the kitten made all by herself.

Under the palm stand, a scratchy old mat went scritch-scratch under tiny paws. Dottie wanted one soft stripe for her hammock, made by her own paws, so she tiptoed out. Psst—she found cloth under the rope knot, where nobody peeked.

Pull, tug, flop! The cloth tickled her nose and smelled like warm grass. “I made it,” Dottie whispered, pat-pat-patting the blue stripe into place. Then she curled up, proud and sleepy. Can you spot the secret stripe under the palm leaves?
