Every day after lunch, Zane rode the park loop and rang his silver bell only at the bend: ding! The squirrels flicked their tails, the daisies bobbed, and he kept the giggle to himself.
Until one day, he invented Bell-Bounce, a game where each ding needed an answer. Because of that, he rang at a bush and whispered, “Your turn!” A chickadee chirped back so loudly that a jogger snorted lemonade through her nose. Because of THAT, two kids on scooters added beep-beep, and the whole path sounded fizzy and silly.
