🎨 How to color it

Color the sleepy planet soft lavender, its wide ring pale blue, the Santa hat bright red with white trim, and the crescent moon buttery yellow. The big round planet and sweeping ring are perfect for chunky crayon fills, while the little cheek stars and hat pom-pom can use careful pencil touches. Try making the planet’s ring fade from blue to mint as it curves behind the planet.

At the edge of the sleepy orbit nursery, Dara rolled her blue ring in slow whoosh-whoosh circles, trying to give the two baby stars a goodnight sparkle. Her crescent moon friend hummed, “Shh, little planet,” but Dara’s heart felt too full and bright to keep quiet. She patted her red night hat, checked under her ring, and even sniffed the cold, cinnamon-smelling space dust. No sparkle anywhere.

Then one baby star bumped the hat’s fuzzy pom-pom. Plip! A warm golden speck popped out. Dara giggled so softly that more specks floated down and kissed her cheeks, settling there like tiny star stickers. “Share,” whispered Dara, and the baby stars shone back. Ever since, sleepy planets keep little cheek-stars for bedtime joy, and if you spot Dara’s fuzzy pom-pom, you may know where the first sparkle hid.
