🎨 How to color it

Layer ocean panels in teal and deep turquoise, landmasses in moss and olive green, the sunburst in marigold, and the leafy border in varied spring greens. Use sharp pencils for the tiny country outlines, stars, scrolls, and letter interiors, then switch to smooth marker fills for the larger ocean panes. Try a warm-to-cool glow from the sun outward, letting the top rays shine gold while the lower map settles into blue-green glass.

Before the bells, Fiora set herself a private challenge: polish every unnamed pane in the glass atlas without leaving a single fingerprint. The hall smelled of rainwater and beeswax; under her cloth, continents brightened, seas cooled, and the tired border vines lifted as if listening. One cracked sun-pane would not shine, so Fiora breathed on it, gave it her last drop of lamp oil, and whispered, “For you, while no one is here.” At dawn, the atlas blazed, and the council called the date Earth Day, never knowing why nature still keeps that secret brightness before the bells.
