🎨 How to color it

Color the smiling planet buttery yellow, its wide ring peach and lavender, the puffy border sky blue, and the little comet bright orange. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for the big planet and ring, then let a grown-up help with the tiny stars and dots if you like. Try making every crater a different soft color, like mint, pink, and pale blue, so the planet looks handmade and cozy.

The story behind this coloring page

Tillo’s Painted Ring — In the soft sticker sky, Tillo rubbed his plain ring with a sponge of moon-fuzz. He wanted to paint it before the bedtime bell went ting-ting, but his paint shell was empty. Read the full story →

In the soft sticker sky, Tillo rubbed his plain ring with a sponge of moon-fuzz. He wanted to paint it before the bedtime bell went ting-ting, but his paint shell was empty. So he rolled past the puffy cloud edge, where the air smelled like cold sugar.

A tiny comet hissed by, orange tail crackling. “I can trade,” said the comet. Tillo gave one shiny crater pebble, and the comet shook warm dust into his shell. Back home, Tillo mixed, dabbed, and swirled until his ring glowed peach and purple. His hands felt sticky, and his smile felt big. Next time you see his dotted sky, can you spot the comet that helped make Tillo’s painted ring?
