🎨 How to color it

Color the happy planet soft teal, its wide ring buttery yellow, the crescent moons pale lavender, and the tiny hearts rosy pink. Use chunky crayons or markers for the big round planet and ring, then switch to a sharper crayon tip for the small stars and craters. Try making the planet’s ring fade from yellow to peach so it looks extra warm against a cool blue space background.

The story behind this coloring page

Rumi’s Secret Ring — Under the hushy-blue sky, Rumi tapped each little heart-star with a moonbeam ruler. She had set herself a challenge: count them all before the crescent moons yawned. Read the full story →

Under the hushy-blue sky, Rumi tapped each little heart-star with a moonbeam ruler. She had set herself a challenge: count them all before the crescent moons yawned. “One more,” she whispered. But the last heart-star was missing, and the clouds smelled like cold rain.

Rumi rolled past a smiling cloud and heard a soft shhh-shhh behind her. A bright ribbon of stardust had followed every turn, holding the lost heart-star safe against her middle. It fit there with a tiny click, like a hug finding its home. Ever since, Rumi’s ring circles close, keeping stray heart-stars where they belong. If you visit her sky, can you spot the secret heart it still carries?
