Under the soft puff-clouds, Pip the capybara sat in the giggle meadow with a tiny brown seed button on his paw. It smelled like warm dirt and cinnamon. He tapped it once. Plink. He tapped it twice. Plink-plink. The tall flower beside him smiled as if it knew a secret.
A spotted butterfly swooped over Pip’s ears, stirring the air into curly whooshes. Pip held up the seed button. “What are you?” he whispered.
