🎨 How to color it

Color Earth’s oceans bright turquoise, the continents leafy green, the wide rings sunny yellow, and the rocket cherry red with a silver nose. Use chunky crayons or markers for the big round planet and long ring bands, then switch to a sharper crayon tip for the tiny stars and rocket window. Try making the rocket’s curving trail rainbow-striped so it looks like it just painted the rings by zooming around Earth.

The story behind this coloring page

Ludo’s Sneaky Space Loops — At the edge of the starry orbit, Ludo warmed his little engine with a purr-purr-pop. Read the full story →

At the edge of the starry orbit, Ludo warmed his little engine with a purr-purr-pop. He had set himself a challenge: make one neat loop around Earth before his comet crackers got cold. The black sky smelled faintly of smoke and sugar dust as he zipped, dipped, and tried not to giggle.

Earth hummed below, round and cozy, while Ludo dragged a bright ribbon of rocket puff behind him. “No wobbles!” he squeaked, making the loop wider, then wider still. Tiny stars blinked like they knew a joke.

Then Earth gave a sleepy wiggle. The ribbon did not float away—it settled around the planet like a giant hula hoop. Ludo beeped with pride. He had made something with his own fiery little hands, and next time you see those loops, listen for a purr-purr-pop.
