Every day, Milo chased the valley ball between two bent sticks, thump-thump, kick-kick, while grass tickled his paws. He wanted one perfect shot before the sun touched the far hill. Until one day, a dust hare burst from a burrow and zipped past him with a sneezy “Whoosh!” The ball jumped sideways, rolled down the slope, and bumped against a tall net Milo had never seen before.
Because of that, Milo raced after it, mane bouncing and tail streaming. Because of THAT, the hare circled the net so fast the squares hummed like bees. “Kick with the wind!” squeaked the hare. Milo planted one paw, swung the other, and sent the ball spinning straight into the net. The hills seemed to cheer, and Milo knew this breezy field was his place. Next time you spot that ball by the net, can you hear the thump-thump, kick-kick?
