🎨 How to color it

Give the mail truck a sky blue body, the heart-stamped envelopes soft pink accents, the mailbox a cool gray, and the smiling sun a lemon yellow. Use sharp colored pencils for the tiny stamps, window lines, tire treads, and brick chimney, then switch to broader strokes for the road and rooftops. Try making every heart on the scattered letters a different shade of red or pink, as if the truck spilled a secret rainbow of messages.

The story behind this coloring page

Dax and the Whisper Stamp — Every morning, Dax tapped his rubber stamp on the mailroom pad—thup, thup, thup—and tucked it into his pocket before riding the neighborhood route. Read the full story →

Every morning, Dax tapped his rubber stamp on the mailroom pad—thup, thup, thup—and tucked it into his pocket before riding the neighborhood route. He wanted to finish the cul-de-sac stack before the bakery clock chimed twelve, because the little stamp had belonged to his aunt, who said it could “hear where happy mail was headed.” Dax thought that meant it was lucky. Also, it smelled faintly like grape gum.

Until one day, the stamp squeaked, “Not that house!” Dax jumped so hard three envelopes slid under the seat. Because of that, he checked the top letter and found a heart sticker stuck over the address. Because of THAT, he peeled it back and uncovered a second address written in glitter pen: SUNNYPATCH LANE, THE HOUSE WITH TWO CHIMNEYS AND ONE NOSY CAT.

Finally, Dax followed the stamp’s tiny hiccuping whispers around the curving road. The truck’s windshield flashed with sunlight, its tires hummed over the curb, and three letters fluttered out like giggling birds. “Quit tickling my pocket!” Dax said. The right mailbox opened with a clang, and the grape-gum stamp went quiet—thup, thup, thup—exactly like every morning.
