🎨 How to color it

Use chestnut brown for the pony, golden yellow for the shaggy forelock, bright green for the clover leaves, and pink for the tiny flowers by the grass. For little hands, try chunky crayons and fill the pony’s big round body first, then dab color into the smaller ears, eyes, and blossoms. Add a pale blue sky behind the pony, or make the two big clovers different greens so they feel extra lucky.

The story behind this coloring page

Bixby Waits for Clover Pop — Every day, Bixby trotted to the clover patch and tapped the ground. Tap-tap! Read the full story →

Every day, Bixby trotted to the clover patch and tapped the ground. Tap-tap! He wanted to see the first clover pop open. One day, a shiny beetle buzzed, “Wait!” and zipped into the grass.

Because of that, Bixby froze his hooves. Because of THAT, tiny stems wiggled up—plip, plip, plip! Finally, two big clovers opened wide, and the little flowers nodded in the warm wind. Bixby smiled softly. Next time you spot his clovers, can you keep still until they pop-pop too?
