🎨 How to color it

Color the shark ocean blue with a pale cream belly, the popsicle cherry red, the spiral shell sandy tan, and the little stars sunny yellow. Use chunky crayons or markers for the shark’s big smooth body, then switch to a sharper crayon tip for the shell spiral and tiny star points. Try making the waves two blues, with darker blue only on the curled tops so the happy shark feels extra bright.

One day, a round cloud covered the sun, and the waves grew hush-hush cool. Because of that, Tavi held the popsicle higher instead of gobbling it. Because of that, a spiral shell beside him began to hum, soft as a lullaby. At last—ting!—the ice turned clear blue at the edges. Tavi took one patient bite, and the sea tasted like morning.
