Down the long white hill, Rafi held the sled ropes and listened for the best sound in winter. Swish-swish! His scarf snapped like a flag, and cold air tickled his carrot nose as pine trees zipped by.
Halfway down, a tiny voice called, “Again?” Rafi blinked. The voice was not in the sky or the snowflakes. It came from under the sled, where a bright little echo rode between the runners, catching every swoop and giggle.
Rafi leaned into the next curve, and the echo sang, “Swish-swish-whee!” Together they zoomed to the bottom, then hurried back up to hear what the hill would say next. If you follow the curved sled marks, can you hear their swish-swish-whee?
