With a vroom-vroom and a salty breeze, Dash zipped along the harbor pier carrying paper stars for the sunset parade. He tucked one on each lamp post, one on the ticket booth, and one beside the popcorn cart that smelled buttery and warm. Nobody asked him to bring extras; he just liked how the pier sparkled when families arrived.
The gulls swooped. The flags snapped. Dash’s tires hummed over the wooden planks, and still one dark corner by the bait shop stayed plain. “I wish I had one more,” Dash whispered.

Dash laughed, fixed them around the bait shop window, and rolled away before anyone clapped. When the sunset parade began, the whole pier twinkled back at his vroom-vroom—can you spot the secret stars that came from the spoiler?
