🎨 How to color it

Color the sunflower petals golden yellow, the crisscrossed center honey brown, the bee striped yellow and black, and the smiling cloud pale blue. Use chunky crayons to fill the big petals first, then try a sharper crayon point for the center’s little X lines and the bee’s stripes. Add two greens to the bending stem and leaves so the windy garden feels extra lively.

The story behind this coloring page

Every day, Zella counted bees from her sunny hill and wiggled her leaves when the breeze went whoosh-whoosh. She wanted to try one brave thing before sunset, so she invented Wind-Hop: tap a floating leaf with one leaf-tip, then shout, “Hop!”

Until one day, a silver leaf spun higher than the little flowers and zipped past her face. Because of that, Zella bent her tall stem farther than ever; because of THAT, a bumblebee buzzed beside her like a tiny drum and the cloud puffed, “Go!” At last, Zella flicked her leaf-tip and tapped the flyer. “Hop!” she cried, laughing as the wind curled around the hill. Next time a leaf twirls by Zella’s petals, can you spot which one looks ready to play?
