🎨 How to color it

Color the pizza crust golden brown, the patterned cheese buttery yellow, the brick oven warm terracotta, and the oil bottle pale olive green. Use sharp colored pencils for the tiny spirals, paisleys, mushroom lines, and lattice crust, turning the page as you work into each narrow curve. Try giving each round topping its own limited palette—tomato red, basil green, or cream—so the slice feels like a quilt of flavors.

Before the moon reached the pizzeria window, Selka set herself a quiet challenge: she would trace one unbroken path across the supper slice without lifting her silver spoon. The room smelled of yeast, basil, and warm stone. Around her, the oven bricks ticked as they cooled, and the stacked plates gave tiny glassy shivers whenever the night breeze slipped under the door.

She began at the crust, following a line of sauce through mushrooms, leaves, starry peppers, and small round moons of cheese. Each turn led to another turn. Her curiosity hurried ahead of her hand: what if the path did not end at the point, but curled underneath the whole supper, through every kitchen where dough rose in the dark?

At the last swirl, the spoon rang softly against the plate. The oven answered with one sleepy breath, and the sauce settled into curls that held their shape. Ever since, pizza wears spirals because Selka’s wandering question needed somewhere warm to keep turning, before the moon reaches the pizzeria window.
