🎨 How to color it

Color the bear honey brown, the armchair soft blue, the moon-and-star blanket golden yellow and lavender, and the leafy plants deep green. Use sharp colored pencils for the book titles, tiny hanging stars, and window details, then switch to broader strokes for the chair and blanket squares. Try a midnight-to-indigo gradient outside the window so the white moon and little stars feel extra bright.

The story behind this coloring page

The Bookmark That Waited — Under the dangling moons, Juniper turned one page, then another, listening for the quietest page in the whole tall stack of stories. Read the full story →

Under the dangling moons, Juniper turned one page, then another, listening for the quietest page in the whole tall stack of stories. The room smelled of chamomile tea and warm paper. Fern leaves brushed the chair arms whenever the night breeze slipped through the cracked window, and the cat made a soft purr-purr on the little round table.

Juniper did not hurry. Fairy tales could sparkle, adventures could trumpet, mysteries could tap-tap like rain, but Juniper wanted the page that felt like snow falling on a mitten. At last, between two chapters, something gold blinked from the blanket. A tiny glow-moth had landed on the crescent moon patch, carrying a thread-thin bookmark made of moonbeam. “This one was waiting for you,” it whispered.

The bookmark slid into the book without a sound, and the next page opened to a story about a bear reading while the stars learned to listen. Outside, the moon looked newly polished; inside, even the teacup seemed to hold its steam more gently. If you visit Juniper’s chair, see whether the quietest page is still hiding under the dangling moons.
