🎨 How to color it

Color the big ornament cherry red, the cap shiny gold, the pine sprigs forest green, and the snowflakes pale blue. Use chunky crayons for the wide round ornament, and don’t worry if little hands color over the bold black edge. Add one tiny white sparkle or sticker star on the ornament so it looks like it has a secret shine.

High in the pine, a tiny ornament named Pip tried to make one soft glow. The needles smelled spicy. Snowflakes tapped, tik-tik, on the window.

“Where is my shine?” Pip whispered.

A small star slipped behind Pip’s round side. Hush! Warm light filled him from inside. Ever since then, ornaments keep a little star-spark close, so they feel right at home on the tree. Next time you see Pip’s big round middle, can you find where the secret shine might hide?
