🎨 How to color it

Color the sailboat hull cherry red, the two sails bright white with sky-blue stripes, the waves turquoise, and the huge sun golden yellow. Use chunky crayons or markers for the big sails and waves, and don’t worry if little hands color over the bold black lines. Try making every other sun ray orange so the sky looks extra hot and silly behind the boat.

Until one day, a paper lunch bag plopped from a ferry bench into Arlo’s boat. Because of that, Arlo steered after the ferry, but his giggling waves kept bump-bump-bumping him sideways. Because of THAT, he made the biggest curl carry him straight to the dock, where a hungry deckhand found the bag without seeing Arlo. “Best race ever,” Arlo whispered, and next time you spot those curling waves, can you tell which one helped?
