🎨 How to color it

Color the duck buttery yellow, the big bill and webbed feet pumpkin orange, the pond soft blue, and the tall grass bright green. For little hands, use chunky crayons to fill the duck’s big belly and wings first, then swipe gentle blue across the wide pond lines. Try making the two cloud shapes pale lavender so the orange feet look extra silly and bright.

Every day, Nico waddled to the pond bank and said, “Quack!” The reeds went swish, the water went plip, and Nico giggled.

Until one day, he invented Who-Quacked-It. He hid his bill behind his wing and quacked very squeaky. Because of that, the frogs popped up. Because of THAT, the echo quacked back—bigger, rounder, funnier!

“Who did it?” Nico asked. Finally, he stood tall, orange feet in the mud, and quacked his biggest quack. Can you spot the reeds that went swish while Nico giggled?
