🎨 How to color it

Color the seahorse in turquoise and coral pink, make the jellyfish lavender with peach stripes, and give the coral branches bright orange. Use sharp crayons or colored pencils for the seahorse’s triangle and stripe sections, then fill the larger bubbles with smooth circles. Try alternating two blues along the curled tail so its spiral looks like a tiny underwater candy cane.

Every day, after the tide bells clinked, Vina zigzagged through the seaweed arcade and tapped bubbles with her nose. Pop, plip, pop—she invented a game called Copy-Current: whatever shape she made, the next swimmer had to copy. She wanted the whole arcade to play before lunch.

Until one day, a jellyfish with striped tentacles floated in and copied everything backward. Because of that, the crab twins spun upside down. Because of that, the seaweed waved left-right-left so hard it tickled everyone’s cheeks. “No fair, you’re making it funnier!” Vina squeaked.

Finally, Vina changed the rule: backward copies counted double. The jellyfish bobbed proudly, the crabs clapped their claws, and Vina knew this wobbly arcade was exactly her spot. Next time you see her curled tail, can you tell which bubble started pop, plip, pop?
