🎨 How to color it

Layer deep indigo through the long flowing ribbons, burnished gold in the nested triangles, teal in the circular targets, and smoky violet across the small mosaic shards. Use sharp pencils for the tiny triangles and narrow bands, working from the central curves outward so your hand does not smudge finished sections. For a tattoo-flash finish, shade one edge of every ribbon darker and let the circles glow with pale centers.

Every night, Cassian threaded the brass needle through the pattern engine’s practice skin, following the same safe loops while the real conduits roared behind the wall like rain in pipes. Until one night, the needle warmed in his palm and the city’s tattoo maps went blank from wrist to shoulder. Because of that, runners crashed through streets without their route-marks; because of that, Cassian climbed into the engine’s narrow current, where ink snapped blue at his sleeves and brass tasted sharp on his tongue. Finally, with shaking fingers, he set the plain needle into the wildest curve, not to command it but to join it, and the maps surged back in ribbons of light, following the same safe loops no longer.
