🎨 How to color it

Try a pearl-white jet with navy window rows, teal oceans, warm tan landmasses, and bright landmark accents like red pagodas and a golden compass rose. Use sharp colored pencils for the tiny map icons, dashed routes, and wing souvenirs, saving broader marker strokes for the airplane body and open ocean spaces. Add a sunrise-to-twilight gradient behind the jet so the repeated continents feel like different time zones on one restless route.

Every evening, Rafi traced one clean line across the glass globe in the chart room, daring himself to cross every meridian before the midnight bell. The room smelled of ink, brass, and rain on the hangar roof. Until one day, his pencil line split into two humming paths, one over the old world map and one over the new, both tugging at his wrist like kites in a gale.

Because of that, Rafi climbed aboard the late jet with his atlas case knocking his knees, and the engines roared through him like drums. Because of that, the doubled continents below began to answer: pagodas flashed, pandas blinked from green hills, ships winked white through the dark water, and compass roses spun with a silver hiss. “Keep the line moving,” he whispered, laughing as the cabin lights trembled.

Until finally, he stopped trying to choose the correct map. He drew through both at once, over stars, waves, deserts, and cloud-scraps, and the meridians rang together like a struck chord. When the midnight bell sounded far below, Rafi’s pencil rested exactly where the route wanted him: in motion, home inside the sky, tracing one clean line.
