🎨 How to color it

Color the toucan’s beak sunset orange and lemon yellow, the rainbow in classic red-to-violet bands, and the jungle leaves in emerald, lime, and deep teal. Use sharp colored pencils for the leaf veins, bark lines, and small perched birds, then switch to smooth strokes for the open sky inside the rainbow. Try making the distant treetops a misty blue-green so the bright arch feels tucked deep inside the rainforest.

The story behind this coloring page

Under the roof of wet leaves, Sora tapped seven seedpods in a row: tick, tock, tuck, tack, ting, tong, hush. She had invented the Rainbow-Listening Game, and she wanted the last sound—the hush—to answer back. From her tree platform, she saw a pale arch beyond the high branches, so she tucked a waxy leaf in her pocket and climbed out along a vine bridge that smelled of rain and peppery bark.

A toucan clicked his huge beak as if keeping score. Sora stepped past orchids, ants, and a butterfly with wings like blue glass. The price of the game came halfway across: her leaf slid from her pocket and spun down into the green. Without it, the mist soaked her sleeves, but the hush ahead grew warmer, as if the jungle were holding its breath.

At the far lookout, small birds sat quiet in the branches. The rainbow did not make a sound. Instead, every color pointed home—to her platform, her trees, her own muddy path through the leaves. Sora smiled and tapped the trunk beside her: hush. Next time you spot the toucan keeping watch, see if you can find the secret place where Sora belonged all along.
