🎨 How to color it

Color the fox a soft pumpkin orange, the crescent moon pale yellow, the leafy stems sage green, and the little berries cranberry red. Use chunky crayons or broad marker strokes for the fox’s big curled body, saving a sharper pencil for the tiny stars and berry circles. Try making the round background a gentle twilight blue so the sleeping fox looks tucked into its own secret night nest.

Under the fern roof, Vesper rubbed his smooth white pebble and whispered, “Pocket moon, keep me cozy.” But the pebble looked dull, so he slipped out to find real moonshine for it. Hush—between us, Vesper had never gone past the berry brambles after dark.

The path smelled like wet leaves and cold berries. A thorn tugged one whisker, and plink! his pebble dropped into moss. Vesper found it glowing beside a tiny snail shell, bright with moonlight. He carried it home, slower now, listening to crickets tick-tick in the leaves.

At his bramble ring, the pebble fit beside his paw like it had been waiting there all along. Vesper curled around it, tail to nose, exactly where he belonged. If you peek at the sleepy fox, can you keep the pocket moon secret too?
