🎨 How to color it

Try a pearly white unicorn with a lavender-and-rose mane, a buttery yellow crescent moon, and pale blue clouds around the hooves. Use sharp colored pencils for the tiny stars, dots, and mane stripes, then switch to smoother pressure for the larger moon curve. Add a midnight-to-violet fade behind the stars so the sleeping unicorn feels wrapped in soft sky.

Along the silver edge of the moon garden, Iona swept stardust with the tip of her tail. She wanted the crescent clean before the comet moths arrived, so their wings would not pick up grit. Swish, hush, shimmer—the dust smelled faintly like rain on warm stone, and the clouds below puffed in slow, sleepy breaths.

As she worked, Iona pressed each loose sparkle into the moon’s small dents. No one had asked her to do it. No one floated nearby to clap. She simply liked the way a mended glow made the dark feel less lonely.

Then her hoof brushed a curved seam where nobody ever checked, deep inside the crescent’s hollow. A tiny pocket opened. Out spilled folded notes of light, each one carrying a thank-you from travelers who had followed her quiet shine: a beetle, a kite, a child at a window. Iona tucked her newest sparkle inside with the others and rested her cheek on the bright curve. If you visit the crescent after midnight, maybe you’ll spot the secret pocket along the silver edge.
