🎨 How to color it

Color the pug fawn tan with a dark cocoa muzzle, make the round cheek spots peach, and give the striped blanket alternating sky blue and lemon yellow bands. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for the pug’s big body and pillows, then slow down around the small nose, paw toes, and bone holes. Try a secret bedtime glow by shading the pillows pale lavender while keeping the bone bright cream.

Under the blanket fort, Otto pressed his favorite bone between his paws. He had made himself a challenge: carry it to the toy basket and back without one jingle, thump, or squeak. The room smelled like warm cotton and crackers. “Quiet as crumbs,” he whispered.

He stepped out from his pillow nook. The floor felt cool. A striped blanket snagged his foot, and his bone bumped the wall—bonk! Otto froze. From behind the big cushion came a tiny shiver, not a bark or a growl.

Otto peeked around the cushion. A new plush turtle sat there, lost and wobbly, with no one to hug. Otto left his best bone beside it and tucked the blanket close. He came back with empty paws, but his tail curled tighter, soft as a secret; can you spot the bone he gave away, quiet as crumbs?
