Under soft clouds, Bram stepped tap-tap along the fern path, looking for the warmest place to put his feet. The grass smelled sweet, and the big diplodocus beside him hummed low as a hill.
Bram stretched his little neck. Tap-tap. Another tiny tap answered from under a leaf. Out popped a round-eyed beetle, stepping when Bram stepped.
“Hello, little tap,” Bram whispered.
