Under the bright pit-garage lights, Callo held his first engine purr inside his pipes. Brrrmm, brrrmm—it felt too big to keep. He wanted every tire stack, tool drawer, and helmeted helper to hear it, but the garage was full of clanks, squeaks, and air-hose hisses.
Then a tiny bell beetle rolled out from under the workbench, shining like a drop of honey. “Too loud?” Callo whispered. The beetle shook its little head and tapped a wrench: ting-ting. The sound floated softly over the tires, and everyone turned with smiles.
