🎨 How to color it

Color the smiling teepee creamy tan with coral cheek circles, make the striped bands turquoise and orange, and give the campfire yellow flames with brown logs. The wide tent panels are great for chunky crayons or markers, while the small stars and log rings may be easier with a sharper colored pencil. Try a deep blue night sky behind the crescent moon so the warm tent and fire feel extra cozy.

Under the stripey camp tent, Pip lined up three pebbles by the crackly fire. He had just invented Sneak-a-Squeak: touch a peg, tap a log, then whisper “boop” to the moon. The grass tickled his toes, and the smoke smelled like toasted marshmallows.

He tiptoed farther than his blanket for the first time. Tap went the peg. Tock went the log. “Boop,” Pip whispered, then jumped when the tent answered, “Boooop!”

A tiny echo rolled from the hills, bounced off the trees, and landed back at camp like a giggle. Pip laughed so hard his knees wobbled. The game was bigger than he had made it. Can you spot the moon that heard Pip’s first brave boop?
