🎨 How to color it

Color the three ice cream scoops strawberry pink, vanilla cream, and chocolate brown, with ruby red cherry, golden syrup, and a pale blue glass dish. Use sharp colored pencils for the many syrup drips and the wavy lines on the sundae glass, then fill the larger scoops with smooth, even layers. Try making the street outside the window cool gray-blue so the sundae looks extra warm and bright inside the café.

The story behind this coloring page

At the little station café, the noon train sighed steam against the windows, and Tessa polished a bent silver spoon until it flashed like a fish scale. She wanted to make one dessert with her own hands before the last peach crate left for the city, but the churn had only three lonely scoops, one cherry, and a ribbon of syrup in the tin. Outside, travelers shuffled in the rain, their coats smelling of wool and wet sidewalks.

Tessa set the scoops in her tallest glass, not side by side but climbing, because the spoon’s bent handle could reach high. She draped the syrup in careful rivers, crowned the top with cream, and pressed the cherry in place. “Hold still, little mountain,” she whispered. The glass gleamed; the spoon leaned like a flag; the rain-soft room went quiet.

The first traveler smiled before taking a bite, and everyone by the window asked for the dessert that looked out with them. From then on, sundaes in that café were built tall in glasses with a spoon standing proudly, because Tessa had made the first one by hand; can you spot the proud spoon still flashing by the window?
