🎨 How to color it

Try a bright green body, a sunny yellow beak, orange feet, and a brown branch with one light green leaf. Use chunky crayons to fill the big belly, wing, and tail shapes; staying inside every line is optional. Add one funny blue feather on the wing so this perched parrot looks extra mischievous.

Every morning, Pip tapped his branch: tap-tap, nibble-nibble. He liked the bark smell and the safe, bumpy place under his toes.

Until one day, the branch said, “Boo!” Pip puffed up—poof! A tiny twig-bug peeked out. Because of that, Pip hopped back. Because of THAT, his tail feathers bonked the leaf—flap-flap-flap!

Finally Pip leaned close and whispered, “Boo to you.” The twig-bug giggled. Next time you see Pip’s bumpy branch, can you find the spot that said boo?
