Under the tall sea grass, Lumi tied her little bow and tapped one arm, then two, then three on a smooth shell. She had made a challenge: follow seven tiny star shapes before the moon-bubbles faded. The water felt cold past her cozy hollow, and the jellyfish bells went wub-wub above her.
Lumi counted softly. “One… two… keep going.” A shy fish brushed her arm, and she dropped her favorite pebble snack into the sand.
