🎨 How to color it

Color the oceans deep teal, the continents moss green and sandy tan, the leafy border fresh emerald, and the little stars golden yellow. Use sharp colored pencils for the thin coastlines and leaf veins, then switch to smooth marker fills for the wide ocean spaces. Try shading the clouds pale lavender at the bottom so the round Earth feels tucked into a quiet sky garden.

In the cloud atlas room, the shelves breathed paper dust and rain-cool air. Tova pressed a cracked seed compass to her ear, hoping it would tick toward the missing island her mother had marked with one tiny dot. Instead, it whispered, leaf, leaf, leaf. Curiosity tugged harder than the warm rug under her knees, so she stepped out through the moon-round window and onto the vine bridge circling the world.

The bridge smelled of green stems and faraway salt. Tova passed berries bright as buttons, star-shaped lamps, and clouds soft enough to brush her sleeves. At the highest curl, a silver moth blocked the path. “One shell for one answer,” it hummed. Tova held the compass tight; it was the last thing from her mother’s voyage. Then the seed split with a papery sigh, and a root touched her palm.

The moth bowed. Below, the dot was not an island at all, but the first leaf of a map that was still growing. Tova carried the sprout back to the atlas room and planted it in an empty globe. By morning, new coastlines unfurled in green. If you trace the vines around the world, can you find where curiosity first whispered, leaf, leaf, leaf?
