Tap-tap, Pip bumped his nose on his cozy shell. He wanted a soft bed for his wiggly tail. Out he swam, swish-swish, past tickly grass and pop-pop bubbles.
A shell chip poked his fin. “Ouch,” whispered Pip. He tucked the chip under a droopy anemone so no baby would bump it. Under the frills sat a tiny pearl-seed, cool and smooth. Pip rolled it back home and curled beside it. Next time you see the cracked shell, can you find Pip’s secret soft bed?
