Every day, Tavi counted quiet blue things beside the warm current: one blue shadow, two blue pebbles, three blue bubbles going plip. She wanted to reach ten without losing count. The sea hummed softly around her whiskers.
Until one day, a silver fish flicked past and made every bubble wobble. Because of that, Tavi followed it into open water, where the light fell in bright, wavy ribbons. Because of that, she found bubbles rising all around her, slow as moons. “Wait,” she whispered, “I’m counting too.” Finally, Tavi stopped at ten and floated there, purring in the hush. Next time you spot the tiny fish, can you find the bubble that made her feel exactly at home?
