🎨 How to color it

Color the knight’s helmet silver, the plume cherry red, the heart shield sky blue, and the baby dragon soft green with lavender wings. The big rounded armor pieces, shield, and dragon belly are perfect for chunky crayons or broad marker strokes, while the tiny sparkles can be colored last. Try making the sword a pale gold so it looks warm and friendly instead of sharp.

The story behind this coloring page

The Quiet Sparkle Test — Under the soft moon, Tobin set one tiny sparkle on the tip of his wooden sword. He wanted to carry it all the way to the dragon meadow without letting it blink out. Read the full story →

Under the soft moon, Tobin set one tiny sparkle on the tip of his wooden sword. He wanted to carry it all the way to the dragon meadow without letting it blink out. His boots made hush-hush sounds in the grass, and his heart shield bumped his knee.

A baby dragon sneezed warm cinnamon smoke. Puff! The sparkle wobbled. Tobin stood very still, even though his arm felt tired. “Easy, little light,” he whispered. The dragon watched, then breathed a slow, cozy breath that kept the sparkle glowing.

Tobin carried it home, but the sparkle was not the best part. The dragon padded beside him, patient as moonlight. Next time you see the little sword and the smiling dragon, can you find the tiny light that waited for Tobin?
