🎨 How to color it

Color the shield rim royal blue, the upright sword silver, the lion golden yellow, and the castle crown warm stone gray. Use sharp crayons or colored pencils for the small brick blocks and leafy curls, then fill the bigger shield sections with smooth, steady strokes. Try making the four shield panels different bright colors so the silver sword looks like it is shining down the middle.

The story behind this coloring page

Finnick’s Button Becomes Brave — High above the drum room, Finnick ran up the spiral stairs with a plain brass button clicking in his fist. Read the full story →

High above the drum room, Finnick ran up the spiral stairs with a plain brass button clicking in his fist. He wanted to choose his first crest before the morning trumpets went ta-ra-ta-TA! The heraldry loft smelled like dust, paint, and old wool banners. Finnick set the button beside a pot of blue ink and whispered, “You came from my first practice coat. You can help.”

He traced a sword for standing tall, a lion for loud cheering, and a castle top for home. Then sunlight slipped through the round buttonholes and made a tiny flower shape on the table. Finnick laughed so hard the ink brush bounced. The button had been a secret stamp all along! He added the flower to the crest, right where his courage felt small and new. When you spot the lion and the flower together, keep the secret: click-click, the button is still helping.
