Every morning, Tilly trotted the hill meadow and sniffed one bluebell, one daisy, and one clover puff. She wanted to carry the sweetest smell to the quiet little foals by the willow fence. The grass brushed her knees, shish-shish, and the air tasted like rain.
Until one day, the plain white cloud above the tulips gave a tiny hiccup. Because of that, Tilly stopped so fast her tail curled. Because of THAT, she saw colors tucked under the cloud like ribbons in a pocket. “Come see!” she called, and the foals came clip-clop, wide-eyed and warm-nosed.
At last, Tilly shook dew from the flowers, and the hidden rainbow opened across the sky. Next time you find the pony beneath those bright bands, can you spot the little stars she shared too?
