Across the blue-white hills, Pip bounded after snowflakes that spun like tiny wheels. His striped scarf flapped—whip, snap!—and cold air smelled like pine needles and peppermint snow. “This way!” he called, hopping over soft drifts toward the tallest little pine.
More flakes landed in a wiggly line, each one pointing past a snow bump, around a tree, and back to Pip. He skidded to a stop, hooves puffing powder. The trail had not led far away at all.
Then a tickle brushed his antlers. Tucked behind the holly berries was a tiny silver map, folded small as a leaf. It showed every snowy hill he loved, with one big star right where he stood. Pip laughed, shook his scarf, and raced in a happy circle. Next time you see his holly crown, can you spot the place where the adventure was hiding all along?
