At the far star pier, where the boards smelled like warm dust and moon-mint, Rumi rolled forward and back, forward and back. She wanted one word that fit her engine before the night parade began. “Hush,” blinked a tiny star under the railing. “Your room is waiting.”
Rumi peeked where the star pointed and found two tall letter posts, one grand and one small, with just enough space between them. She fired her flame—rrr, rrr, RRR!
