🎨 How to color it

Color the dinosaur spring green, the American flag red, white, and blue, the tall striped hat navy and crimson, and the fireworks sunny yellow. Use chunky crayons for the dinosaur’s big belly, tail, and parade walkway, and don’t worry if little hands color past the lines. Add extra red and blue dots in the confetti to make the parade feel even louder.

Every day, Dax marched down Parade Street going stomp-stomp, swish-swish, dreaming of a boom he made himself. He tied tin stars to a pole and shook it. Clink! Not enough.

Until one day, the fireworks cart got stuck with a squeaky wheel. Because of that, Dax lifted his star pole high. Because of THAT, the tin stars rattled, the crowd clapped, and the cart rolled free. “I made the boom!” Dax cheered, marching stomp-stomp, swish-swish—can you spot his proud parade pole?
