🎨 How to color it

Color the roses in coral pink, the heart sprigs in cherry red, the veined leaves in fresh green, and the big bow in lavender. Use sharp colored pencils for the curled rose centers and leaf veins, then switch to broader strokes on the ribbon loops and tails. Try making each floating heart a slightly different red or pink, like they are popping out of the bouquet one by one.

Every day, Bramble tied his rose bouquets with a quiet lavender bow and wheeled them past the fountain market before the clock geese honked noon. He liked calm customers, neat stems, and petals that smelled politely of honey. Then one day, a tiny striped joy-bug popped from a rose curl, hiccuped, and shouted, “Too much happy in here!”

Because of that, the bouquet began sprouting heart-shaped puffs that bobbed around Bramble’s ears. Because of THAT, the fishmonger laughed so hard she gave away seven sardines, the baker iced mustaches on cupcakes, and the clock geese honked a song with the wrong notes. Bramble tried to sit on the ribbon, but joy slipped out warm and fizzy, like soda foam in sunshine.

Finally, he climbed onto the fountain rim and waved the bouquet like a parade flag. The joy-bug conducted with a crumb. Everyone took one rose, one heart-puff, and one ridiculous honk to carry home. If you spot the bow holding the stems together, imagine Bramble still wheeling past the fountain with petals that smell politely of honey.
