🎨 How to color it

Color the axolotl soft peach, its frilly gills coral pink, the tall water leaves sea green, and the bubbles pale sky blue. Use chunky crayons to fill the axolotl’s smooth body first, then trace each long leaf from stem to tip so the bold lines stay easy to follow. Try making one bubble golden, as if it is hiding a tiny underwater secret.

The story behind this coloring page

Nori’s Golden Bubble Secret — In the hushy kelp garden, Nori tapped three bubbles with one tiny foot. Plip, plip, plip! Read the full story →

In the hushy kelp garden, Nori tapped three bubbles with one tiny foot. Plip, plip, plip! The nursery axolotls needed one bright bubble for their evening song, so Nori left the soft moss bed and swam between the tall leaves. The water smelled like rain on stones. A shadowy tunnel of stems wiggled ahead, and Nori’s belly gave a small flip.

A sharp reed scratched Nori’s tail, but Nori kept going. At the quietest leaf, one that nobody ever checked because it curled like a sleepy hand, something winked. “Hello?” Nori whispered. Tucked under the fold was a golden bubble, warm as lantern light, with tiny sparkles spinning inside. Nori carried it home, and when it popped, a hundred little bubbles burst out for everyone to sing with. Next time you see the curled leaf, can you keep Nori’s hushy secret?
