High in the soft sky cradle, Luma pressed one toe to the cool moon curve. She wanted to play her new game, Moon-Slide, but the drop made her tummy feel fizzy. The cloud pillow above smelled like rain and vanilla. “Just one swoosh,” she whispered.
Luma slid. Swoooo! Her tiny claws tickled the moon, and sparks popped where she held on. Plink, plink, plink—each spark became a little star and stuck to the silver curve like a button. Luma laughed, brave and shaky at the same time.
