🎨 How to color it

Color the little car cherry red, the smiling sun golden yellow, the mountain tops snowy white, and the roadside bushes fresh green. Use broad crayon strokes for the car body and sky, then switch to a sharper pencil for the tire dots, window shine marks, and dashed road lines. Try making the winding road light gray near the car and darker gray as it curves toward the tiny houses.

Down the bendy hill road, Pip the little car carried three picnic bells that went ting-ting under the seat. He wanted to reach the tiny houses before the noon sun warmed the lemonade. The road smelled like grass and warm rubber, and every white dash seemed to wink as Pip rolled by.

Past the snowy mountain noses and the round trees, the bells kept jingling softer and softer. “Hold still, lunch!” Pip beeped, but his horn answered with a squeaky hee-hee instead of a beep. From inside the horn popped a tiny cricket wearing a crumb hat. He had been hiding there, playing the bells with his back feet.

Pip laughed so hard his mirrors wobbled. The cricket chirped the picnic song, the bells tinged along, and the happy sun shone right on their silly parade. If you follow the curvy road, can you spot where Pip belongs among the hills?
